RCG

Provide Responsible Gambling Services

Provide Responsible Gambling Services is also commonly known as Responsible Conduct of Gambling or ‘RCG’. It is a requirement of the Gaming Machines Act 2001 for people who is working in an environment where gambling occurs, including: Gaming room attendants, Casino workers, Licensees, Managers, Security Officers.

Our college offers a fun and informative one day RCG course that will provide you with the knowledge and skills to obtain a NSW RCG certificate, allowing you to apply for your RCG photo card. You will learn about the effects that gambling can have on individuals, families & the community. You will also learn how to implement workplace rules as well as how to spot individuals with gambling addictions.

FOOD SAFETY SUPERVISOR

The NSW Food Act 2003 was introduced as a measure for reducing food borne illnesses within the hospitality and retail food industry by improving food handler skills and knowledge. The NSW Food Safety Regulations stipulate that hospitality businesses in NSW need to have a designated Food Safety Supervisor within their organisation. The Food Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that their premises engage in best practices regarding safe food handling. This course covers how to test for and correct any breaches in food safety, understand how to dispose of waste and contaminated goods safely, and maintain personal hygiene in a manner appropriate to the workplace. This includes knowing what to do, and what not to do, in the case of illness. This course applies to frontline service personnel involved in preparing, displaying and selling retail food.

In this introductory barista course for beginners, you will learn fundamental cofee-making skills required to make drinks from the coffee menu. This class is suitable for aspiring baristas looking for work and home baristas who would like to learn how to make better coffee at home.

  • Basic barista machine operation: milk frothing/steaming, espresso, long black, cappuncino, lattle, flat white, mocha
  • Basic rosette: how to pout the froth, wiggle the wave, cut the canter line, why the wave is not symmetry, why the rosette is too big or too small etc.
  • Basic heart: how to pout the round shape, why the heart is big or small, why the heart is not round, etc.
